Spatial discourse in Alice Munro's short stories studding from the “escape” symbol

Abstract

    The study of spatial discourse in Alice Munro's short stories seen from the symbol ofthe escape is the study of the space associating with the discourse, thoughts, words,thoughts or actions that are dominant cultural space. From there we see the cultural spatialposition in her short stories accompanying with the escape that is seen as a journeysymbol. The space in Alice Munro's short stories seen from the symbol of the escapejourney is shown in the journey escaping to another cultural space, the journey to escapetowards the desire for sex.
