Abstract

     Academy of Culture and Development, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of PoliticsReligion plays an important role in the life of every Indian; affects thought, action,psychology, sentiment, and deeply influences on political, philosophical, literary andartistic sense, customs and traditions, rituals, etc. Prem Chand's Godan novel reflectsIndian social reality of the early Twentieth century with the customary laws of religion,class system, backward traditional conceptions, which have made the lives of workingclass people endure the hardships and injustice. Godan novel has contributed to thecommon voice in order to denounce the class system, religious conception and antiquatedrites in the relationship of human, and in family marriage, which has deprived the right tolife, freedom, equality, and happiness rights of human.
