Abstract

The epic is a complete picture of people's lives in the form of a hero's narrative in the past. It helps readers and listeners understand more about spiritual life, cultural and social activities through the image of the hero depicted in the epic, where the community's goals and dreams are highest. There is always the apparition of gods in Indian epics and Central Highlands epics, in addition to the hero as the central character. Gods appear in close proximity to heroic characters from origin to bestowing strength, weapons and playing an important role in the hero's battles, helping the hero to win a complete victory. Despite their thousands of years of existence, Indian epics and Central Highlands epics continue to hold a powerful appeal for readers and listeners anywhere, at any time.
