Abstract
This article uses approaches from poetics, narratology, and interdisciplinary studies to examine contemporary South Korean children's stories translated into Vietnamese in the early 21st century, and compares them with representative works of contemporary Vietnamese children's literature. The study argues that providing children with vivid, diverse, and colorful literary experiences is an effective means of nurturing goals emotional development and supporting education in modern society. The spiritual experiences conveyed through these narratives contribute to character formation and promote inner strength, resilience, and empathy in young readers, which are essential competencies for 21st-century citizens.
