Report on study results of saving irrigation process for rice in Quynh Hong commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province

Abstract

     The experiment model was built and studied on two rice paddies in Quynh Hong commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province. One rice paddy applied a saving irrigation ugime combining with a scienticfic water management at paddy. Another one used traditional irrigation fomular that the local people are now applying. The activities of research were concentrated on measuring water volume taken into two rice paddies, growing data and yield of rice and other criteria related to water and soil quality in the period of experiment. The results shows that the water saving volume from applying saving irrigation formula is very significant and it contributes to increasing farmer's income due to a reduction in agricultural production expenditures.
