Abstract

Nearly one billion old tires of all types have been wasted every year in the world, but only a small fraction of that number is reused in the construction industry and infrastructure. This paper introduces an efficient method to re-use old car tires as an additive in the renovation and maintenance of the asphalt concrete pavement. Using rubber additives from old car tires on asphalt concrete pavement for the upgrading and repair of damaged pavement, bring high performance, quality and economic efficiency in comparison with other methods. This is also a very effective solution for high surface temperature condition in the summer in Vietnam. Also very simple to use and produce.
