Water pricing for irrigation in a hydraulic scheme

Abstract

     Nowadays, water pricing in generally and water pricing for irrigation in particularly is a critical issue in management and operation of the natural resources in Vietnam. Normally, water pricing is often conducted under "market failure" conditions which causes challenges for the economics. Therefore, it is needed to develop the economic theory of water pricing completely as well as practice in carefully way. By that way, we can hopefully help the economy to avoid "rent seeking" problems.
