A study on parameters efect on slump of soil-Bentonite mixture

Abstract

    Soil-bentonite slurry wall has been used widely for seepge control effectively over 50 years. To control quality of S-B wall during design and construction stage it is necessary to determine suitable value of slump of S-B mixture through slump tests. In this paaper the authors carrided out investigations to determine factors effect on slump of S-B mixtures as moisture content, time, bentonite content. This paper also describes the use of miniature con which consum only 17 % volume of soil compaire with standard con but resulted in convertible value.
