Optimal control of full vehicle active suspension system

Abstract

    Through the establishment of full vehicle model with seven degrees of freedom and the application of optimal control theory, a Linear Quadratic Gaussian (LQG) controller of full vehicle active suspension was designed. The system simulation model based on Matlab environment were built and used for simulation. Simulation results were compared with passive suspension. The simulation results demonstrated that the active suspension with a LQG controller could improve automobile riding comfort performance enormously.
