Research the effects of super-plasticizer, retarding admixture on properties of roller compacted concrete

Abstract

  The studying used Super-plasticizer, retarding additives TM25 of Sika Company for the Roller Compacted Concrete of Nuoc Trong dam has achieved the compressive strength at 90 days of age 33,1MPa, permeability coefficient Kt = 50 x 10⁹ cm/s, workability Vc = 14 sec, the RCC ensure the technical requirements of strength, workability, setting time, impermeability for constructions. Using the Super-plasticizer, retarding admixture for RCC will improve some technical properties of RCC dam, ensure reasonable construction period, its highly effective and feasible in Vietnam condition.
