Some of the problems in the design and calculation of hydraulics works when using of sand closure in tidal regions

Abstract

    Sand closure is never done in Vietnam, although in fact, the construction of Vamdon dam at Bentre province was not susseful when the dam is constructed by sand. This paper given some of the problems in the design that should be noted when using of sand closure in tidal regions. The design process of a sand closure is showed by a project organization group of the Ductch Ministry of Public Works. We hope that many sand dams will be constructed in tidal regions in Vietnam in futrure.
