Effects of wind on the coastal evolution in the Coastal zone of Quang Binh province

Abstract

     Quang Binh having a monsoon acting strong and convenient conditions of topography, geology, atmospheric circulation can make the sand movement from the sea to the land. The wind-blown sediment transport contributed in damaging houses, buldings, trafics, vegetations, filling lagoons and estuaries. Based on laws of atmospheric boundry layer, dynamic equations, experimental formulas carried out calculating the wind-blown sediment transport at Quang Binh beach and the initial step to explain reasons changes of the coastal evolution caused by the wind at a study area.
