Study on the coastal evolution of the Thu Bon estuary by using remote sensing and GIS techniques

Abstract

     In current years, the socio-economics development has been paid much attention by Quang Nam and Da Nang provinces. The interactions between hydrodynamic phenomena and coastlines cause to evolute the coastal morphology. Using GIS technology, author find out the evolution of coastline and river mouth of Thu Bon river and suggest the solutions in order to mitigate risks caused by erosion and sustainably to develop the area.
