Study on fishing port system combined with anchorage base hiding from typhoon along the coastal estuary

Abstract

     Economical benefit from coastal and sea fishing is very important roles for social and economical development in the Coastal Central Provinces. However coastal central Vietnam is always facing with the heavy natural disasters caused serious damages in term of lives and property, expecially for fishing activity. River mouth sedimentation is always very big difficulties for fishing boats moving in and out during dry season as well as hiding during typhoon. In this paper, the list of locations along the coast is defined as fishing ports combined with enchorage bases during the typhoon. The solutions to stabilize river mouth at some typical ports are also introduced.
