A study on signals and zoning potential of high flood on Lam river basin

Abstract

     Lam is a large river basin in Vietnam. The flood on this river is very big and complicated which makes many difficulties for effective flood control and management. At present the flood management of Lam basin has been paid attention in order to reduce damages caused by floods. Therefore, the studies in scientific basis for proposing flood management solusions are very important. In this report, some initial studied results in identifying the signals of high floods and the criteria for zoning potential of high flood risk are mentioned. These are good and effective for flood warning in the Lam river basin.
