Assessing water supply possibility of Dau Tieng reservoir under scenarios of inflow insufficiency by using Hec-ressim
Abstract
Reservoirs are one of the most efficient measures for developing and managing integrated water resources. They have become the most important facilities for increasing the reliability of water supply for various purposes such as agriculture, industry, human activities, and environmental requirements, and for reducing the vulnerability of water users in droughts. In past decades, water is becoming an increasingly scarce resource as a result of the growing demand for its use for various purposes and serious water shortages are occurring more frequently owing to restrictions on effective water use. To overcome the problem of water shortages during dry seasons, this research focused on improving water resources Management and proposed effective solution for operating Dau Tieng Reservoir under inflow insufficiency and increased water demand.
