Study a numerical model for solving the one dimensional flow acounting for veritcal velocity at the bottom of channel
Abstract
This paper is investigated the Taylor-Galerkin finite element method to solve Saint-Venant equations accouting for additional discharge at the bottom of channel. The numerical solution with third order accuracy in space and time is validated by some reference test cases. A physical model is implemented at Key Labolatory of River and Coastal Engineering to verify the capacity of the proposed numerical model in terms of capturing correctly water hydrographs with different cases of discharges. The very good agreement between numerical rerults and experimental ones of can be observered.
