Ranking the risk factors for investment in the small and medium hydropower projects in Vietnam

Abstract

    Most small and medium hydropower projects have a lot of risk in the construction process. Studieshave shown that there are twenty-eight risk factors that adversely affect the effectiveness of theseprojects in Vietnam, thus identifying and analyzing the risks in small and medium hydropowerprojects is indispensable in investment management. This practice provides managers with themeans to prevent and minimize risk, as well as helps investors make rational decisions in theseprojects. This article will determine and rank the impact of twenty-eight risk factors on theinvestment cost of small and medium hydropower projects in Vietnam.
