Current status of PHTHALATE contamination of the air dust at some locations in Hanoi and preliminary assessment of the dehp exposure to human health

Abstract

    In this study, 12 phthalates were measured in air particle samples collected from two locations inHanoi (Pham Van Dong road and Phu Do village) in 11/2018. Five out of 12 phthalates weredetected with the averange concentrations of 1,92 - 60,4 ng/m3. Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP),di-n-butyl phthalate (DBP) and di-iso-butyl phthalate (DiBP) concentrations were highest,contributed the major of the total detected phthalates concentration. The caculated mean inhalationexposure dose to DEHP for infants, toddlers, children, teenagers, and adults were 22.8, 15.4, 13.3,8.9 and 6.1 ng/kg.day, respectively.
