Flood control due to emergency spillway break mechanism of Yen Lap reservoir, Quang Ninh provice

Abstract

    Emergency spillway works for discharging PMF (probable maximum flood) to avoid failure ofheadworks and ensure safety for reservoirs. This paper presents the calculation results of breakingmechanism of emergency spillway of Yen Lap reservoir, Quang Ninh province using EMBANKsoftware. This result is used to calculate flood control to determine the water level in the reservoir,checking the safety of the headworks.
