Evaluation of effects of changes in land use on discharge in the Srepok river basin

Abstract

Precipitation and land cover are important factors that affect the changes in discharge in the river basin. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to interpret the effects of these factors on the discharge in the river basin, taking Srepok as a pilot basin. SWAT-CUP model with SUFI-2 is applied to simulate discharge in 4 years 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2018. The results illustrate the superiority of SWAT model in simulating the discharge and interpreting the role of land use changes in discharge
