Abstract
The coastal area of Binh Thuan province is endowed with a long coastline and great potentials for tourism development, relaxation, mineral exploitation, aquaculture and fishing. However, this area is subject to impacts of coastal eorosion and climate change, which effect to the stability and economic development of the province. This study is conducted to evaluate and identify the coast areas that are vulnerable to the coastal erosion, climate change, and sea level rise, in accordance with the Circular 29/2016/ TT-BTNMT. Research results show that 103,64 km, accounting for 44.8% of the coastline of Binh Thuan province, have an vulnerable index due to coastal erosion, response to climate change and
water sea level rise is greater than 3. Ham Tan and Tuy Phong districs are the two coastal areas with the greatest vulnerability. Phu Quoc island is the only locality in Binh Thuan province that does not have any vulnerable coastal areas to the coastal erosion, climate change, and sea level rise. The results of the study will form the basis for the establishment of coastal setback zone and integrated coastal management in Binh Thuan province
