Experimental investigation of heat transfer for a free jet impinging on a flat surface

Abstract

     This paper reports the study of heat transfer of a free jet impinging on the heated flat surface. The horizontal free jet of water was impinged on the vertical surface, which was the heated copper metal plate. The images of temperature field on the copper plate were taken with an infrared thermal camera. Thus, the thermal images were used to discuss the heat transfer of the impinging jet.
