Effectiveness assessment of some water saving irrigation procedures applied in Hanoi

Abstract

Water level of the Red river in dry season declined continuously in recent years. This caused water shortage to agriculture. Based on the results of some implemented research projects the article presented proposal on selection of water saving irrigation procedures in Hanoi, results of calculation of water demand for proposed procedures. Assessment of effectiveness of proposed water saving irrigation procedures has been done. Some recommendations were given for rice production in Hanoi.
