Some proposed criteria and assessment methods of the rationality of the cross-section of the dyke

Abstract

   There are many solutions in designing dyke. Hence, the engineer usually makes reference to the design standards and economic calculation in order to choose the best one. However, the standards and regulations are promulgated to apply in the whole country. Therefore, these criteria don't comply with the conditions of each region. This article studies and proposed methods to evaluate the rationality of dyke sections through comparing a section of the dyke in accordance with each requirement. In which, the proposed requirements could lead to the adaptability to conditions of each region or province.
