Assessment of pulled-out bearing capacity of screw anchor for the use of canal slope protection

Abstract

    The paper analyses a new solution for using screw anchor to strengthen the revetment of canal slope. The use of screw anchor to reinforce a light material plate as a polime, composite or geomemberane for slope protection wich can be replaced traditional material for canal slope protection such as riprap stone, concrete plate...The equation of pulled-out bearing capacity of screw anchor on the slope surface was established. Base on the results of field test and statistical analysises, the correction factor was given. The equation (1) is used to select dimensions, number of screw anchors and structural of light meterial revetment using for canal slope protection
