Abstract

Non nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark (Cao Bang province) is home to many ethnic groups: Tay, Nung, H'Mong, Kinh, Hoa, Dao, San Chi... This area has a total of 241 historical - cultural relics and scenic spots. Of these, 94 relics are ranked (3 on special national level, 28 on national level, 63 on provincial level), 147 relics are not ranked. The study area is divided into 3 sub-regions with low to high potential for historical-cultural tourism and scenic spots: Sub-region I (including Ha Lang district), has low potential, little development of cultural tourism, should develop more other types such as adventure tourism or community tourism; Sub-region II (includes Cao Bang city, districts: Ha Quang, Nguyen Binh, Thach An, Quang Hoa, Trung Khanh) has average potential, should develop a combination of many types of cultural, adventure tourism, eco-tourism and community tourism based on indigenous people; Sub-region III (includes Hoa An district) has high potential, should focus on developing cultural tourism.
