ANALYSIS THE POTENTIAL OF LANDSLIDE IN SON LA CITY

Abstract

Research on natural hazards is currently a popular scientific activity, helping to identify types of hazards, rational exploitation and use of territory, and stabilizing people's lives. The situation of landslides took place strongly in many places, especially in mountainous provinces. Like other mountainous cities, Son La has a limited land fund, strongly dissected terrain, steep slopes, hot and humid climate, and monsoon rains which are very favorable reasons for landslide hazard activities. This article mention landslide in Son La city by landslide map built, analysis, statitic landslide potential in Son La city. It is the basis for reference for population distribution and planning, minimizing natural risks.
