The results show that the air environment around the Trang Cat solid waste treatment complex was polluted by H2S, NH3 at some monitoring sites, and the highest at the landfill border. The HI risk indices of NH3 and H2S at all monitoring sites are larger than 1. This proves that there is a health risk to the surrounding population and factory staff and workers when exposed to NH3 and H2S. The results of the sociological investigation present that the bad smell from the Trang Cat solid waste treatment complex has spread and affected the health and life of the surrounding community.
