IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MOTTO "PEOPLE KNOW, PEOPLE DISCUSS, PEOPLE DO, PEOPLE INSPECT, PEOPLE SUPERVISE, AND PEOPLE BENEFIT" IN ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ACTIVITIES UNDER THE VCP’S RESOLUTIONS

Abstract

Environmental protection is one of the basic goals of sustainable development. At the same time, it is also the rights and obligations of every organization, every family and every citizen. The motto “People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people monitor, people benefit” has been legislated not only in the Law on Environmental Protection but also realized through such activities as communication activities on environmental protection; the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations; monitoring activities of socio-political organizations; the model of socialization of environmental protection; enhancing the role of the community; the National Target Programs, projects for socio-economic development and environmental protection. Currently, the article has proposed a number of recommendations which include that it is necessary to institutionalize the Party's views on environmental protection, based on the principle of the right approach “People know, people discuss people do, people control, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit” to ensure transparency and to develop regulations for organizations, individuals, households and communities to actively participate in environmental protection activities
