Abstract

Among Vietnam’s state management tools for the environment such as the National Environmental Protection Strategy, strategic environmental assessment, preliminary environmental impact assessment, environmental impact assessment, environmental permission etc. National environmental protection planning is one of the effective tools. The National environmental protection planning is the arrangement and orientation of spatial distribution, zoning for environmental quality management, nature reserves and biodiversity regions, centralized waste treatment areas, environmental monitoring and warning networks for environmental protection with the aim at serving the country's sustainable development goals for a specified period. This article presents a summary of the viewpoints, goals, key tasks and solutions for environmental protection which have been identified in the National Environmental Protection Planning for the period of 2021- 2030 with a vision towards 2050.
