Abstract

The OCOP program promotes the production of branded and quality agricultural products in the rural mountainous Northwest area of Vietnam. In order for OCOP products to enter the market, it is necessary to transform thinking from self-sufficient production to commodity production in the supply and demand value chain, at the same time to integrate production and consumption culture into OCOP program in the Northwest rural mountainous areas. From a human geography approach, this article clarifies 05 methods of integrating production culture and 05 methods of integrating consumption culture into OCOP products as well as clarifying barriers to integrating production and consumption culture into OCOP products in the Northwest region. This article also proposes three main recommendations to improve the effectiveness of integrating production and consumption culture into OCOP products in the Northwest region.
