Abstract
In recent years, Yen Bai province has been promoting the development of organic cinnamon with a production model based on the value chain between farmers, cooperatives and businesses. This province has issued a number of preferential policies to attract and promote businesses and cooperatives to link with farmers in organic cinnamon production, but the obtained results are still modest compared to Yen Bai province’ development potentials. From the perspective of economic geography and value chain analysis, this article focuses on clarifying the current situation of developing a number of linkage models in organic cinnamon development; identifying limitations in the chain between farmers and other actors in each chain. From the research findings, the author proposes some implications to perfect and improve the quality of the organic cinnamon development model along the value chain in Yen Bai province.
