Redistribution of soil pressure caused by port facility transposition

Abstract

      The redistribution of soil pressure as of port facility deformation is what happens during seaport construction and exploitation. The determination of soil pressure redistribution is a difficult issue. In order to obtain a soil pressure graph closed to the actual figure when the redistribution of soil pressure as of port facility transposition occurred, the author proposed a solution on the basis of theory on soil environment in collaboration with an adjustment on factors achieved from experimental researches. This is a theoretical and practical method aimed at solving one of the difficult problems of soil mechanics.
