DETERMINED ABSORPTION COEFFICIENT OF 85Rb ATOM IN THE Y-CONFIGURATION

Abstract

In this work, we establish a system of equations of density and derive analytical expression for the absorption coefficient of  ⁸⁵Rb atomin the Y -configuration for a weak probe laser beam induced by two strong coupling laser beams. Our results show possible ways to control absorption coefficient by frequency detuning probe laser and intensity of the coupling laser.
