Productivity spillovers from R&D, exports, and foreign direct investment in the manufacturing sector: The case of Vietnam
Keywords:
Abstract
This study aims to assess the productivity spillovers from research and development (R&D), exports, and foreign direct investment in the manufacturing sector in Vietnam. The estimated results
from the Cobb-Douglas show that R&D, export (EX), and FDI activities positively influence the productivity of domestic manufacturing firms. Firms with investment capital from Northeast Asia create a more positive productivity spillover than FDI enterprises from the ASEAN region. The study proposes important implications for management and policy from the above findings.
