Research on Mobile Money development- International experience and lessons for Vietnam

Abstract

In this report, the authors used the method of collecting secondary information to study the management and development model of Mobile Money in a number of countries that have been
implementing this service. The authors evaluated the data, considered the strengths and weaknesses of Mobile Money in each country through data on the number of transaction accounts, the volume of money transacted per day, the total number of agencies and trading BOTs of 3 countries: Philippines, Ghana and Bangladesh for research. From there, the authors analyzed and gave lessons for applying Mobile Money in Vietnam, to help the Mobile Money payment system to develop safely and popularly, trusty and being used by all people in the near future, in order to bring Vietnam closer to a non-cash payment system in the future.
