The research on situation and forecast of investment in the Southern key economic region

Abstract

 The article used the statistical method to compare the data on investment in 8 provinces of the Southern key economic region during the period from 2005 to 2018. Based on the statistical data, the authors have studied the situation of investment in the Southern key economic region according to 4 capital supply channels: (1) Foreign Direct Investment (FDI); (2) Investment from non-state enterprises; (3) Investments from households; (4) Investment of the State sector. In addition, the article also used the ARIMA model techniques to forecast the total capital and capital flow of the four channels into the Southern key economic region and estimate the capital reserve by 2025. Thereby, the article also proposed some solutions to support the attraction of investment into the Southern key economic region.
