Topic: “Renovation of accounting research at Vietnamese universities in the context of global integration”

Abstract

Upon the data collected from Vietnamese universities in relation to training of research methodology in accounting,
the paper analyses the achievements and weakneses, then proposes recommendations and suggestions aiming
to bring renovation in accounting research areas, research approaches, theoretical frameworks and model,
and research methodology in accounting. These recommendations could be seen as guidelines for reform in
Vietnamese institutions which have accounting concentration. The suggestions would also support young
researchers in doing scientific research, specialized in accounting.
