APPLICATION OF MULTIVARIANTS REGRESSION METHOD TO PROCESS THE CALCULATION RESULTS EMBANKMENT SOIL PRESSURE IN SOFT SOIL REINFORCED WITH SAND DRAINS

Abstract

Based on practical on-site data, ranges of physical and mechanical variables such as deformation module of sand drains, diameter of sand drains, distance between sand drains and deformation modulus of soft soil are identified. Consequently, the finite element analysis is conducted by Plaxis software to generate a database with 144 samples. The multiple regression method is applied with this database to calculate the embankment pressure in soft ground reinforced with sand drains.
