ON ENGLISH - VIETNAMESE IDIOMS TRANSLATION STRATEGIES (IDIOMS WITH COLOUR TERMS OF BLUE, BLACK, RED, AND WHITE)

Abstract

In this article, efforts have been made to examine the extent of translatability of idioms with colour terms of blue, black, red and white in English into Vietnamese. The article also explores cultural similarities and differences between the colour idiomatic expressions in the two languages.
