Abstract

The clearest characteristics of character’s language in the novel of Chu Lai is the system of colloquial words appearing repeatedly, with word frequency used many times in dialogues (personal pronouns, obscene words, abusing words). The dialogue with colloquial words contributed to creation of the characteristics of the soldier and the style of writer in works about the soldier.
