TOPIC AND MEANING FUNCTIONS OF TOPIC IN THE WORKS OF NAM CAO

Abstract

The paper studies syntax components of topic in term of semantics perspective. Meaning  functions  of  topic  is  to  state  the  theme  of  sentence  and  to  be  concretized  by different roles. In particular, the aim is a highlight meaning role of theme.
