Abstract

It is a sad paradox that university English majors still have poor language performance despite their excessive, systematic exposure to English grammar. Many of the learner sentences are grammatically inaccurate, impairing their communication competence to a considerable extent. For this reason, the paper is aimed to investigate how English grammar is taught  to English majors of Hanoi Open University, and, based on this, recommend some solutions to enhancing the learners productive skills through the Grammar course.
