SEXUAL SYMBOL IN HUE FOLK VERSES FROM DISCOURSE ANALYSIS PERSPECTIVES

Abstract

There has been a diverse system of sexual symbols existing in Hue folk verses. From discourse analysis perspectives, the report studies reference act and reference expression which convey sexual sense in discourse of folk verses reflecting teasing conversations between young men and women. The analysis sheds light on linguistic characteristics of sexual symbols, moreover, indicating artistically symbolising values of linguistic elements possessing sexual sense in Hue folk verses.
