INDIRECT SPEECH ACT PERFORMED BY QUESTION ACT IN SHORT STORIES OF NGUYEN CONG HOAN

Abstract

This article has focused on surveying and analyzing indirect speech act which is performed by question act in short stories of Nguyen Cong Hoan with specific contents as following: 1/ Identify the frequency of indirect speech act performed by the question act in short stories of Nguyen Cong Hoan; 2/ Find out the relation between indirect speech act with politeness; 3/ Find out the pragmatics value of using indirect speech act.
