LINGUISTIC AND COMMUNICATION ERROR OF TELEVISION PRESENTER

Abstract

Based on the survey data from the program of HCM city Television (HTV) and Vietnam Television (VTV) for 3 years from 2010 to 2013, this article addresses the specific types of linguistic errors (pronunciation, word-using, sentence-building, expression) and communication errors (vocative, control, utterance, conversation, knowledge, body language) of television presenters (Vietnamese), then analyzes the causes (objective and subjective) of the errors to draw the necessary lessons for the work of MCs as well as professional training, coaching MC’s TV stations and training institutions.
