Applying theories of presupposition and particularized conversational implicatures to interpret literature works

Abstract

   Presupposition is the basic of utterances. Moreover, presupposition plays an important role to make speakers' implicattires. Literature worics are very concise and succinct. Therefore, unplicaturcs arc used in these works with high fiequency, especially, particularized conversational implicature. This study applied the theory of presupposition and particularized conversational implicatures to interpret literature worits in school curriculum.
