Some source domains of target domain "human" in the comparison expression "A as B"

Abstract

    From the research of comparative linguistic expressions which are structured "A as B" in Vietnamese idioms, we see some source domains of the target domain "HUMAN" as follows: PEOPEL ARE ANIMALS, PEOPLE ARE THINGS, PEOPLE ARE NATURAL PHENOMENON AND PEOPLE ARE PLANTS. The selection of the source domains of the target domain "HUMAN" shows the embodiment of Vietnamese people, contributing to reflect their world views.
