The Effect of Cutting Branch Techniques, Remove Flowers on the Growth, Development and Yield of Wax-tree at Tam Nong- Phu Tho

Abstract

The effect of branch trimming technique and flower removal on the growth, development and yield of wax-tree were investigated in Tam Nong district of Phu Tho province. Results indicated that the time of branch trimming in plantation establishment period and removal of flowers during productive period exerted a positive effect on canopy width, stem diameter and yield of wax-tree. Branch trimmig in six month interval and removal of inflorescence buds seemed to be optimal to achieve highest yield.
